I started my Real Estate Career in 1988. In April of 2003 I opened Rooney & Associates Real Estate. My office started out with 2 agents and has grown to 11 agents. Rooney & Associates has become a well known and respected office in Hancock County. In 2006 Rooney & Associates purchased a downtown building built in the 1860's. After several months of renovation we moved in and have been enjoying being a part of our vibrant and growing downtown.
I have been a top producer and ranked in the top 3% of sales production for the past 20 years. I have received many performance awards from the Ohio Association of Realtors. Client referrals and return business make up 85% of my success in residential and commercial sales and relocation.
The opportunity to be a member of several non-profit organizations helps fulfill my desire to give back to the community.
I am married to Tim Rooney. We have 4 grown children and 6 beautiful grand children! We have lived in Findlay as children and watched the community become one of Ohio's best small cities to live!
Born and raised in Hancock County I attended Miami University, Oxford where I received a bachelors in Psychology. After graduating I moved to Chicago to pursue a career in social services. In 2006, after meeting my husband, Scott Poling, I relocated back to Findlay at which time I decided to get my real estate license and work with my mom, Sharon Rooney. Over the last 10 years I have served the Findlay/Hancock County community in many different positions. While maintaining my real estate license I have worked in the non-profit sector of Hancock County. I previously served as the event coordinator at the Arts Partnership and most recently the Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Findlay. I am active in the Hancock County community and volunteer my time to many local community organizations. I am currently the Board President of the Children’s Museum of Findlay. I also serve on the Board for the Hancock Historical Museum as well as the Board for the Hancock Historical Museum Foundation and am a past member of The Guiding Circle for Handbags That Help. I enjoy being a part of these organizations that keep Findlay and Hancock County a thriving community for families to Live, Work and Play in!
In the past year my family grew from 3 to 5 with the addition of my twin boys. Family and community are very important in my life and I made the choice to pursue real estate full time. Real estate allows me the flexibility to be with my family and the ability to connect with people in the community. I enjoy helping growing families find the home of their dreams and advocating for our community and its resources as I meet employees relocating to the area who will hopefully make Findlay/Hancock County their permanent home!
